Heritage News


Heritage students and staff celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.  They collected change in their classes and raised money to donate.  As a dedication to their loved ones who have, or are battling cancer, they released pink balloons in their honor on October 30, 2014.

 child   In Child Development I, Mrs. Lenk’s class participated in a parenting simulation in which they cared for a baby (manikin simulator) during the school day and overnight. The care that was provided was feeding, burping, changing, and providing needed attention to the “baby.” The students all said that the activity made them realize how difficult it is to take care of a baby. My favorite quote from a  student was “You can’t take the battery out of a real baby!”
